Public Hearing set for Drayton Valley Temporary Shelter Bylaw

Drayton Valley Town council has taken a step in addressing residents’ concerns regarding temporary shelters on private property.

First reading of Temporary Shelter Bylaw 2019-06-P was given last week, with a Public Hearing set for May 1 to receive comments from the public.

Town officials say the purpose of this Bylaw is to regulate tenting and temporary shelters used for camping, sleeping accommodations and human habitation in the community.
