A small number of tickets are still available for one of the biggest events of the RDC Athletics year.

This Wednesday, Red Deer College is hosting the 15th annual Kings & Queens Scholarship Breakfast beginning at 7 a.m. at The Westerner’s Harvest Centre.

This year’s keynote speaker is none other than Karl Subban, the author of How We Did It and father to three NHLers, including Nashville Predators d-man P.K., Vegan Golden Knights goalie Malcolm, and L.A. Kings prospect Jordan.

Karl will be speaking of his experiences at Lakehead University where as a student-athlete he promoted self-discovery.

“It was through basketball and school that I learned about myself, gained important life skills and followed my dreams,” says Subban. “When people learn about themselves, believe and work towards their potential I find that they are happier and more productive.”

For tickets to this event, you can visit RDC.ab.ca/breakfast.

Funds raised support scholarships for the college’s student-athletes.
