Two vehicles were stolen in Rocky Mountain House this week, in addition to one intoxicated driving incident.

On August 24 at 12:44 p.m., police received a complaint of a female screaming and swearing at a gas bar in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and resolved the matter.

On August 24 at 5:57 p.m., police received a complaint of two males arguing over the placement of a pile of dirt at a resident in Rocky Mountain House. Police attended and resolved the matter.

On August 24 at 9:44 p.m., police received a complaint of males with weapons at a residence on Sunchild First Nation. The suspects fled in a vehicle.

On August 25 at 11:36 a.m., police received a complaint of a dog howling for the past 24 hours at a residence in Rocky. The owner hasn’t been seen for three days.

On August 25 at 9:53 p.m., police received a complaint of an assault at a residence in Rocky. After speaking to the parties involved, it was determined that an adult female had come home drunk and her friends took away her car keys after she wanted to drive away. No charges were laid, and the female was arrested and held until sober.

On August 26 at 12:52 p.m., a white 2017 Ford 5150 with the license plate BXT8970 was stolen from the O’Chiese First Nation contracting yard.

On August 27 at 1:12 a.m., police received a complaint of suspicious people at Strawberry Hill carrying backpacks, hammers and knives. They were also using flashlights to flash at passing motorists. Police located an adult man hiding in the grass and arrested him for mischief and breaching release conditions.

On August 27 at 9:10 p.m., police received a complaint of a heavily intoxicated man at a bar in Rocky trying to drive home. His keys were taken away and the complainant was trying to get him into a cab. Police arrested the subject after he attempted to run away into traffic. He was subsequently arrested and lodged in a cell until sober.

On August 28 at 12:08 a.m., a vehicle was pulled over in Rocky with only one headlight. The driver had marijuana and paraphernalia in her possession. The items were seized and she was released without charges.

On August 28 at 4:03 a.m., a female driver was pulled over near the Rocky water treatment plant. After failing the roadside screening device, the woman was arrested and escorted to the detachment where she provided two breach samples over the legal limit. Charges are currently pending.

On August 28 at 11:00 a.m., a 2006 red Pontiac pursuit was stolen out of a garage from a resident on the north side of Rocky. The License plate in BSZ-9220.

On August 28 at 11:57 a.m., police responded to a theft from a construction company in Clearwater County on Range Road 7-3 and Township Road 38-0. Three large equipment batteries, a pinto, a ball hitch and 2000 litres of dyed diesel fuel were taken.
