Good Samaritan saves Penhold residents from house fire
An alert passerby is being credited with helping the occupants of a Penhold home that went up in flames early this morning escape without injury.
Penhold fire crews were dispatched at about 4 a.m. to a structure fire on Robinson Avenue.
“On arrival there was heavy fire showing through the roof on the rear of the house,” says Fire Lieutenant Josh Wilson.
A male passerby on his way home from work noticed the rear deck, side and roof of the house on fire and woke up the occupants, telling them to evacuate.
