Sylvan Lake receives $100,000 for waterfront area redevelopment
SYLVAN LAKE- The Town of Sylvan Lake is receiving more than $100,000 for its sustainable waterfront area redevelopment project, Reimagine Sylvan.
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and the Federal Government are spending more than $30 million for 50 initiatives across the Canada.
The Sylvan Lake money will be used to develop a sustainable waterfront area redevelopment plan for the 169-hectare downtown waterfront, to adapt to a growing population and tourism industry.
Sylvan Lake sees more than one million visitors a year.
