EDMONTON- A Stanley Cup championship ring that was stolen from a former Edmonton Oiler is now back on the player’s finger.
The 1988 diamond-studded victory ring that belongs to Norm Lacombe was taken last weekend — along with a wallet — from a vehicle south of Spruce Grove.
Police released a picture of a man who appeared to be wearing the prized item entering a store in Devon last Sunday.
Lacombe tells Global News that he got a call last night from someone who said he got the ring from the thief.
