Premier Notley working to fix federal bills, says didn’t wait to long
CALGARY- Premier Notley is rejecting accusations she waited too long to publicly take on Ottawa over legislation her government believes could seriously harm the oil and gas industry.
Notley says she has been working with the federal government for months to fix the two bills, saying that is the best way to get things done.
One bill would ban tanker traffic on the northern B-C coast and the other would revamp how energy projects are reviewed.
Both bills have passed the Commons and are now in the Senate.
