Drayton Valley rally organizers to deliver letters to Energy Minister
Organizers of a rally held last week in Drayton Valley to demand that pipelines get built say they’ll be delivering hundreds of signed letters to Alberta’s Energy Minister on Monday.
A group called Rally Canada hosted the event on Dec. 4 and had the estimated 1100 attendees from Drayton Valley and Brazeau County sign letters which they hope will eventually be forwarded to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
In a release, the group says a small team will travel to Edmonton on Monday with a plan to arrive at the Legislature at 12:15.
They say they’ll be meeting with Energy Minister Margaret McCuaig-Boyd to hand deliver the letters.
