Blackfalds Mounties investigate shots fired incident

BLACKFALDS- An investigation is underway after a shot was fired during a fuel theft Thursday night.

RCMP were called to a rural property in the area of Range Road 253 and Township road 372, near Red Deer.

At around 9:30 p.m., the property owner interrupted a fuel theft.

In order to make their get away, one of the three white males shot a small-calibre rifle in the trees to distract the owner before the trio sped off in an older four-door white dodge truck.

Mounties were on scene shortly after, however extensive patrols in the area for the truck were unsuccessful.
