Vandalism at Sylvan Lake construction site causes water leak

The Town of Sylvan Lake and local Mounties would like to know who vandalized a major construction project overnight.

“Unfortunately, throughout the night someone(s) vandalized major infrastructure at the site of the 50 Street water main repair; crews are working to restore affected services and continuing to repair the water main leak,” a Town release says.

Residents are asked to the contact the Sylvan Lake Public Works Department at 403-887-2800 if they experience low water pressure or water discolouration.

Anyone who may have witnessed something throughout the night of May 10, into the early hours of May 11, are asked to call Sylvan Lake RCMP at 403-858-7200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
