INNISFAIL- Chinook’s Edge School Board Trustees met on Wednesday.

Members discussed School and Transportation Fees.

The updated Administrative Procedure that adheres to the provincial government’s new fee schedule that aims to reduce some school fees was presented to the Board.

It is now being sent to Alberta Education for approval and eventually that information will be shared with parents through their child’s school as needed on the Chinook’s Edge website.

Chinook’s Edge offered Summer School programming in three communities this year, and all were very successful.

Sylvan Lake Career High had 59 students enrolled, Innisfail Career High 60 students, and Olds Career High 54 students.

Superintendent Kurt Sacher and other Board members also met with new Olds College President, Stuart Cullum.

Cullum is very supportive of continuing and building on the successful relationship that has been forged through the Community Learning Campus.

This joint venture between Olds College and Chinook’s Edge has created substantial opportunities for learning and rural development for over 10 years.
