A Bashaw man charged in a fatal crash last summer near Clive has had the impaired driving against him dropped.
A 23-year-old man from Drumheller died following the single vehicle rollover on July 29, 2016.
The driver, 26-year-old Jacob Stahl, was charged with four counts including operating a motor vehicle while impaired causing death, operating a motor vehicle while over .08 resulting in death, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
A trial was scheduled for Monday in Red Deer court, but the impaired driving-related charges were dropped and Stahl was fined $2300 on the remaining count.
