Pair charged, one on the run, after Red Deer drug trafficking investigation
Two people have been charged following a drug trafficking investigation by Red Deer RCMP.
On July 2 of this year, RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle along 30 Ave. in Red Deer. The male driver and male passenger were arrested, and a search warrant was executed at a home in Lancaster.
As a result of the search warrant, police located and seized:
- Approximately 1127 grams of suspected fentanyl;
- Approximately 334 grams of suspected cocaine;
- Approximately 24.1 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine;
- Approximately 1 litre of suspected gamma hydroxybutyrate;
- Approximately $15,000 in Canadian currency;
- Drug trafficking materials including scales and packaging materials.
