City of Red Deer to host Greater Downtown engagement series

The City of Red Deer invites downtown businesses, property owners, and community partners to attend its Greater Downtown engagement series.

On Aug. 11 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Snell Auditorium, the city hopes to gather feedback that will help inform future governance decisions, priorities, and opportunities for Greater Downtown.

There will also be a second session focusing on community safety and wellbeing.

“A business-friendly downtown must be safe, secure and supported by effective social policies that address homelessness and harm reduction. Downtown safety impacts all of us, and navigating challenges requires honest conversation,” the city wrote in the invitation. “We invite downtown businesses, property owners, and community partners to a facilitated session addressing identified priorities in our Greater Downtown.”
