Red Deer city council passes motion to negotiate with province on Highway 2 widening project
Red Deer city council unanimously approved a resolution in hopes of getting proper compensation for potential land lost in Maskepetoon Park in relation to the Highway 2 widening project.
At Tuesday’s regular city council meeting, multiple councillors and the Mayor expressed frustration that the province has appeared to make up its mind about the project, despite public concerns raised.
The resolution also directed administration to work with the province to address the impacts associated with their proposed project.
