Wolf Creek Public Schools announced the hiring of Shelley Leslie as the new assistant principal of Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus.

The Division says Leslie is a familiar face within the Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus and brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting student success. Throughout her time at IRIC, she has served in roles such as acting administrator and acting vice-principal.

She said she’s grateful to continue serving in a new leadership role.

“I am honoured to step into the role of assistant principal at Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus,” said Leslie. “IRIC has been an important part of my career, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside our incredible students, staff and families. Together, we will continue building a welcoming, inclusive school where every student feels supported, challenged and inspired to succeed.”

She’s also served as a classroom teacher, an Alberta Initiative for School Improvement (AISI) leader, and an instructional technology facilitator.

“Shelley has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful, student-centred approach to leadership throughout her career,” said Sonja Dykslag, assistant superintendent of people services, in a media release. “She is a collaborative leader who values strong relationships and creates learning environments where both students and staff can thrive. Her experience, professionalism and deep connection to the Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus community make her exceptionally well-suited for this role, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact she will continue to have as assistant principal.”
