Red Deer city council adopts 2026–29 term direction
Red Deer city council has set its priorities for the next four years.
On Tuesday, the council adopted the 2026–2029 council term direction, which the city says will guide council’s leadership, decision-making and oversight, and align the administration’s work to support Red Deer’s needs and future growth.
The term direction, the city added, sets a path for the city’s work in service to the community and identifies the priorities that will shape efforts over the term.
“Council’s Term Direction gives us a clear foundation for the work ahead,” said Mayor Cindy Jefferies, in a media release. “It reflects where we will focus our efforts over the next four years and how council and administration will work together, alongside partners and community, to build a strong future for Red Deer.”
