Help plant 1,600 trees at McKenzie Trails on June 6

Jun 5, 2026 | 2:31 PM

Saturday, June 6, join Rotary Club of Red Deer at their 6th annual ‘Rotary Branches Out’ tree planting event.

Join them from 10-12 at McKenzie Trails, north of the main parking lot, to help them plant 1,600 saplings.

Rotarian Dave Swindlehurst from Weyerhaeuser Drayton Valley will give a 10-minute eco talk on how to plant trees at 10, followed by a safety talk from the City’s urban forester, Susan Katzell.

Then, let the planting begin!
