Friends of the Red Deer Public Library PSA — The Friends of the Red Deer Public Library are pleased to present violinist Cara Wing and pianist Matthew Whitfield on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 12:15-1 p.m. in the Snell Auditorium of the Red Deer Public Library, Downtown Branch.

Program: Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter

If you are not notified of an available seat, we have limited standing room. We will do our best to provide you with seating.

If you are unable to attend the concert in person, the concert will be streamed live on our YouTube channel and at rdpl.org/first-thursday.

Donations

Thanks to those who have made donations in support of the First Thursday concerts. These funds have been used to pay fees and expenses for the musicians presenting at the Library. If anyone wishes to support these concerts, cheques should be made out to the Red Deer Public Library, with a memo for CONCERTS. A charitable receipt will be issued.

FUTURE EVENTS

Central Alberta Chamber Orchestra performs BROADWAY BABY on Sunday, June 21 at 3 p.m. Gaetz United Church, 4758 Ross Street, Red Deer. Tickets at the Door: Purchase one ticket at regular price and receive a second free for DAD or tickets available through Eventbrite.

Payadora, the amazing Argentinian tango ensemble, performed at the November, 2025 First Thursday concert. They will perform again on Sunday, July 5 at Elspeth Events (just west of Sylvan Lake) at 3 p.m.
