In a statement Monday morning, ECCC classified the trio of formations as landspout tornadoes and while they usually don’t cause significant damage, they can still be dangerous by toppling trees, damaging roofs, or tossing debris a short distance, the weather agency added.

The first took place near Usona May 17th at 5:03 p.m.

The second came a day later on the 18th at 5:38 p.m. in the Ponoka area, with the third occurence near Heisler on the afternoon of May 19th at 1:40.
