Red Deer RCMP seeking assistance after assault in Lancaster

Red Deer RCMP are looking to the public for information following an assault said to have occurred at about 2:20 p.m. on May 11 in the Lancaster Meadows area.
Mounties received multiple 911 calls requesting assistance, they note.
Police were notified that a female youth had been assaulted at a field in the neighbourhood, and had been brought to the Collicutt Centre for assistance.
The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
