Red Deer man sentenced to two-and-a-half years in local robbery
A two-and-a-half year jail term has been given to a Red Deer man charged in a local robbery two years ago.
Aurie Hayley Peigan, 32, was sentenced in Red Deer Court of Justice on April 29, 2026, after pleading guilty to one count of robbery. He was also given a lifetime firearm prohibition.
It was on June 29, 2024, at approximately 12:55 a.m., when Red Deer RCMP received a distress call stating there was a robbery in progress at a business in the Anders Park East neighbourhood.
After some investigation, RCMP determined the suspect allegedly entered the business and produced a hammer, demanding money from staff.
