Olds RCMP make arrest in stolen property investigation

Olds RCMP have charged a man from Mountain View County after an investigation into stolen property.

Police say it was April 16 when they executed a search warrant at a home in the county; this after obtaining new information about an ongoing investigation.

During the search, they seized:

Untaxed tobacco – 38 cartons and 9 packs (total value of $6,971.56)
Canadian currency totalling $51,680
Two unregistered firearms
Stolen vehicles and vehicle parts, valued between $123,800 and $234,000
Vehicle documents for a stolen vehicle
Stolen British Columbia licence plate
22 rounds of ammunition
Money counter
Fraudulent VIN and manufacturer labels
Registration and insurance for a cloned VIN associated to a Ford F-450
