Red Deer man charged with drug offenses in Lacombe

Lacombe Police have laid drug charges against a 24-year-old from Red Deer.

LPS conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 23 involving a blue 2009 Hyundai Tucson with five people in it.

During the stop, all occupants were arrested under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of:

• 51.5 grams of suspected Cocaine

• 13.8 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine

• 24.8 grams of suspected Methamphetamine

• 2.4 grams of suspected Fentanyl

• Multiple digital scales

• Packaging materials/baggies

• Two sets of “Plastic” Brass Knuckles

One man was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for purpose of trafficking, and one count of fail or refuse to comply with a probation order.

The man will appear in Red Deer court Nov. 5.
