UPDATE: Olds RCMP continue search for man accused of attempted arson

UPDATE: The Olds RCMP say they’ve been unable to locate the suspect that resulted in a heavy police presence earlier today.

They continue to search for a man that allegedly attempted to light a fire on a rural road.

Upon arrival to the incident, police found a stolen vehicle and attempted to track the suspect on foot. They’ve also conducted an extensive search of the area using police dogs, helicopter and drone resources but have been unsuccessful.

Police say the investigation into this incident continues and additional updates may be on the way. In addition, they do not believe that this suspect is an immediate risk to the public and ask that area residents report any suspicious activity to police.
