‘Rewriting the Rules – The Couples Workshop’ runs April 25-27 in Red Deer

Apr 17, 2025 | 9:34 AM

Couples are invited to take part in a workshop later this month that aims to rebuild, reconnect and strengthen relationships.

Rewriting the Rules – The Couples Workshop takes place April 25-27 at the Red Deer Resort and Casino.

It’s put on by Rick Martin and Edna Caouette, experienced relationship counsellors specializing in Relational Life Therapy (RLT).

They say the immersive workshop is designed to help couples break free from outdated relationship patterns and create deeper, more authentic connections.

“Relationships today are more complex than ever before,” said Martin. “This workshop is about uncovering the unspoken rules that shape our relationships and giving couples the tools to rewrite those rules together. It’s a powerful experience for those who are ready to grow both individually and as a couple.”

Workshop Highlights
•Gain insights into how family patterns and past experiences influence current relationship dynamics.
•Develop practical, actionable skills to navigate conflict and improve communication.
•Participate in guided exercises and discussions to foster greater emotional connection.
•Experience live demonstrations of RLT techniques with opportunities for real-time learning.

Participants will also enjoy refreshments, lunch on Saturday, and a specially arranged “Sunday Date Lunch” at the High Steaks Restaurant. To further support ongoing growth, all attendees will receive access to a post-workshop integration group for continued connection and support.

Registration is now open with limited spots available. Interested couples can sign up and learn more at Rewriting the Rules: The Couples Workshop. The cost is $1,500 per couple.
