Applications now open for Red Deer Arts Council Awards & Scholarships

The Red Deer Arts Council announced on Tuesday that they’ve officially opened applications for their 2025 Scholarships and Awards.

Submissions are now being accepted and application forms can be picked up at the office or downloaded off their website.

They’re looking for recipients for the following awards and scholarships:

  • Princess Margaret Scholarship for Post-Secondary students
  • Centennial Scholarships – both for Secondary & Post-Secondary students
  • Waskasoo Bluegrass Music Scholarship for Secondary students
  • RDC Music Society Scholarship for Post-Secondary students
  • Artwalk Developing Visual Artist Award for practicing artists
  • Emerging Artist Award for practicing artists
  • The Diane Hermary Volunteer Spirit Award, via Nomination Process

The awards and scholarships were created to support and encourage promising artists in their development.

To qualify to be eligible for any of the awards or scholarships, those filling out an application must live in the range as far north of Ponoka, east as Stettler, south as Olds, and as far west of Rocky Mountain House.

Artists of all genres and levels of experience are encouraged to apply and for more information email info@reddeerartscouncil.ca or call 403-348-2787.
