Rebels defenceman Keaton Dowhaniuk tied the game a minute and 24 seconds later on a slap shot from the left circle off the feed from Lind.

The Warriors went on to score three straight goals to lead 4-1 near the end of the first period. The first came from Ethan Hughes midway through the frame followed by Thorpe’s second of the game on the powerplay with under five minutes left.

Moose Jaw scored their second powerplay goal from Krzysztof Macias with 1:02 remaining. However, Red Deer pulled back within two when Lind scored on the rebound with 44.4 seconds left in the opening frame.

In the second period, Josephson brought his team within a goal of tying it on the powerplay just over three and a half minutes in. He fired a shot from the high slot that beat Hutchison.

With 3:27 left in the middle period, Lind tied the game at four for his second goal (fourth point) of the game on a wrap around opportunity.

Josephson gave the Rebels their first lead of the game with 8:26 left after he scored on a breakaway attempt. The goal also marked Josephson’s fourth point of the evening and Lind, who assisted on the play, grabbed his fifth point of the game.

Josephson completed the hat trick with a shorthanded empty-net goal late in the game for his 100th career point to seal the deal on a 6-4 victory.

Next up, the Rebels will head to Swift Current to take on the Broncos at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
