Edmonton man charged in Red Deer drug trafficking investigation

Charges have been laid against a 22-year-old Edmonton man in relation to a police investigation in Red Deer.

On Feb. 17, RCMP arrested the suspect and charged him with:

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking x3
• Possess proceeds of crime over $5000
• Possess items used to traffic in controlled substances
• Fail to comply x4

Officers executed a search warrant at a home in Parkvale on Feb. 17, resulting in the seizure of over $13,000 in Canadian currency, 112 grams of cocaine, 118 grams of crack cocaine, 38 oxycodone tablets, plus other items and materials used in the trafficking of controlled substances.
