Sylvan Lake and Area Health Foundation gets town council approval

Sylvan Lake’s town council moved to support the formation of a Sylvan Lake and Area Health Foundation on July 8.

As the need for services by the Urgent Care Committee has outpaced the resources of the Stettler Health Services Foundation, a proposal for the formation of a Sylvan Lake and Area Health Foundation was presented to council on April 8, 2024, by Susan Samson, chair for the Urgent Care Committee.

In supporting the formation of a Sylvan Lake & Area Health Foundation, the Town of Sylvan Lake will be recognized as a partner of the foundation.

Samson reported that the desired outcome is to have the foundation implemented and running by the end of 2025.
