BCHL reveals playoff schedules for Alberta teams

The B.C. Hockey League (BCHL) has released the playoff schedules for its Alberta teams.

First, a wildcard round will take place with the fourth and fifth place teams, the Spruce Grove Saints and Okotoks Oilers. That series runs April 10-16 and is a best-of-five.

The winner of the wildcard series will face the top ranked Brooks Bandits in one semifinal.

The other semifinal will be contested between the third-seed Blackfalds Bulldogs and second-seed Sherwood Park Crusaders, April 19-30, in a best-of-seven.

The schedule for Brooks vs. wildcard winner is TBA.

Game 1: April 19 – Blackfalds at Sherwood Park – 7 p.m. MT
Game 2: April 20 – Blackfalds at Sherwood Park – 7 p.m. MT
Game 3: April 23 – Sherwood Park at Blackfalds – 7 p.m. MT
Game 4: April 24 – Sherwood Park at Blackfalds – 7 p.m. MT
Game 5: April 26 – Blackfalds at Sherwood Park – 7 p.m. MT*
Game 6: April 28 – Sherwood Park at Blackfalds – 2 p.m. MT*
Game 7: April 30 – Blackfalds at Sherwood Park – 7 p.m. MT*

As reported previously, the winner of the Alberta playoffs will face the B.C. champion in the first and only Rocky Mountain Challenge, a best-of-three series scheduled for May 31-June 2, all games taking place in the Alberta winner’s arena.
