Rocky Mountain House RCMP charge youth after bus stop assault
A youth has been charged following an assault on a seven-year-old child in Rocky Mountain House last month that sent the victim to hospital.
On Dec. 21, 2023, Rocky Mountain House RCMP were dispatched to an assault of a seven-year-old which occurred at a bus stop in the Town of Rocky Mountain House. Mounties say EMS attended and the victim was transported to a local hospital.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old youth has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. Due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, police say the youth cannot be named.
The youth has been released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Rocky Mountain House on Feb. 15, 2024.
