Sentencing set for one of five charged in Wetaskiwin stolen vehicle crash that seriously injured motorist
Sentencing is scheduled to take place next year for one of five people initially charged in a crash involving a vehicle fleeing police in Wetaskiwin that seriously injured a motorist.
Cherise Dana Crane, 26, of Red Deer, is scheduled for sentencing in Wetaskiwin Court of Justice on Jan. 26, 2024.
Crane and co-accused Richard Stanley Soosay, 31, of Maskwacis, were previously scheduled for trial in Wetaskiwin Court of Justice on Oct. 23, 2023.
However, Soosay was previously sentenced on July 18, 2023, after being convicted on counts of possession of property over $5000, dangerous operation causing bodily harm, and fail to comply with a release order. He was sentenced to 10 months in jail, 12 months of probation, two-year license suspension, and ordered to pay $60,011.21 in restitution.
