City-Wide School Council to host parent engagement conference Oct. 28

Parents of Red Deer students are invited to attend an upcoming City-Wide Parent Engagement Conference.

Hosted by the Red Deer Public City-Wide School Council, the free event is open to parents of kids in any local school division.

It runs from 9-12:30 at Central Middle School on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The event will feature an opening keynote from longtime educator Debbie Pushor, then break into three sessions on high school completion, mental wellness, and the purpose of school council. Another keynote speech by local mental health therapist Janice Kutney is scheduled to close the day.
