Central Alberta Film Festival gala finds new home

This year’s edition of the Central Alberta Film Festival will take place at the new Red Deer Resort and Casino.

Officials add, however, that films will be screened at Carnival Cinemas in Red Deer from Oct. 18-21, with the gala awards ceremony on Oct. 21 taking place at the Red Deer Resort and Casino.

The red carpet gala and awards ceremony is a black tie event that celebrates the award-winning selections from the festival.

Tickets for the gala are $100 and can be found at www.cafilmfestival.ca. Purchasing a table of eight for the Gala includes eight day passes to the screenings.

“The gala is a rare opportunity for a real formal night out for central Albertans, and an opportunity for people in the film industry to network. Of course, it’s also an evening of great entertainment and great food,” said Ranjit Mullakady, CAFF president.
