$100,000 lotto win shocks Red Deer couple

A Red Deer husband and wife are celebrating a $100,000 lotto win on the July 21, 2023 Lotto Max Extra draw.

The husband admits he had to get his son-in-law to triple-check the ticket before they would let his wife know.

“I texted a screenshot to my wife,” he said. “Honestly, I was in such shock. I had no idea what to do after realizing what we had won.”

The lucky winners say they’ll be paying off some bills and of course taking a family vacation.

Their ticket was bought at the Circle K located at 2127 50 Avenue in Red Deer.

They paid $1 to add the Extra to their ticket, and won by matching the last six digits of the Extra number drawn – 6460542.
