Red Deer’s Eileen Park competing at Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship
Red Deer’s Eileen Park is among dozens of golfers competing at the 109th Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship at the Ashburn Golf Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia this week.
The opening round teed off at the new course on Tuesday morning, with the event running until Aug. 4, 2023.
The leaderboard fluctuating throughout the day, but it was Team Canada’s Brooke Rivers who shot a 7-under 65 during the opening round to break the Ashburn Women’s competitive course record, to place herself atop the leaderboard.
Team Canada’s Lauren Kim carded a total of five birdies firing a 5-under 67 to sit in second place after the opening round.
