New trial dates set for man charged in Bowden Institution bust
New trial dates have been set for a man charged in a year-and-a-half long drug investigation at the Bowden Institution.
Braden Foster, 33, of Slave Lake, AB, is now scheduled for trial in Red Deer Court of King’s Bench from Jan. 16-19, 2024. He was previously scheduled for trial from June 26-27, 2023.
Foster faces two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, distribute cannabis, contrary to the Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis Act, and trespass by night.
RCMP say institution staff began looking into suspicious activity at the facility in Nov. 2019.
