Red Deer woman wins $100,000 on EXTRA

A Red Deer woman is celebrating a $100,000 lotto win.

The woman won on the EXTRA for the May 9 LOTTO MAX draw, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation.

“Oh, I felt shocked and elated, but mostly, I felt like I needed to get out of the store right away,” says the woman, who has multiple plans for the winnings.

“I’m going to pay some bills. I want to give some to my kid and probably just invest whatever is left over.”

The ticket was purchased at the Circle K at 101-2127 50 Avenue in Red Deer. She won the second-highest EXTRA prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number drawn on May 9 – 3 5 8 2 1 1 0.
