A win at the Canadian Brewing Awards turned out to be a win for the community at the 8th Anniversary Party and Scavenger Hunt for Red Deer’s Troubled Monk Brewery.

Company officials say one of Troubled Monk’s core values is community, striving to elevate those around them and bringing everyone up together.

At the recent 8th Annual Anniversary Party and Scavenger Hunt, officials say guests and competitors of the event raised $5,559.50 for the Mustard Seed Lunch program through entry fees, purchase of lunches for the school program, silent auction and 50/50.

Troubled Monk says it wholeheartedly thanks all those that donated their time, enthusiasm and wallets at the event. In addition to the funds raised for the Mustard Seed program, a van of items was said to be filled for delivery to the Food Bank.

Troubled Monk officials say they are already looking forward to raising additional funds for a community non profit association at next year’s event.

Troubled Monk Brewery says it is also excited to announce their recent win at the Canadian Brewers Awards in Halifax, NS on June 3, 2023. Fan favourite, Daycation Lager was awarded the Gold medal standing in the North American Style Lager competition.

The Canadian Brewing Awards is a Beer Judge Certification Program sanctioned blind tasting competition.
