Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre has announced that their 11th Annual Push & Pace Fundraising Walk, Run or Wheel, presented by Surepath Group, is taking place on Saturday, June 17 at Parkland School.

Registration is $15/adult, $10/youth and free for children 8 years and under. Organizers say you can build your team to collect more pledges from family and friends.

The 1, 3 and 5 km route is fully paved and accessible for wheelchairs, strollers and people of all abilities. Registration is at 9:30 am, warm-up at 10:00 am and first racers start at 10:15 am.

Participants can stay afterwards for a free BBQ lunch and entertainment for the children including a bouncy castle, face painting, sensory tent and full access to the playground, located at Parkland School (6016 – 45 Avenue). Aspire will also be drawing the winners of their Annual Children’s Raffle including the Grand Prize, a 2023 Dodge Hornet GT valued at $37,995.

“Push & Pace is much more than a fundraiser; it is an opportunity for central Alberta families to come out on the day and have some fun. Everyone is welcome. Even if you are not racing, there is plenty to do, all in an inclusive environment.” said Melissa Vine, Aspire’s Donor Relations Supervisor.

If you can’t participate in the race, you can join them for festivities or sponsor a runner as every dollar counts. All donations and pledges help Aspire support children with special needs in central Alberta by providing fee assistance, assessment and therapy tools as well as specialized sensory and gym equipment.
