Rocky Mountain House RCMP seek public assistance with arson at O’Chiese First Nation

Rocky Mountain House RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance with an incident involving arson at O’Chiese First Nation.

On May 20, 2023 at approximately 7:15 p.m., RCMP say they responded to reports of a structure fire at O’Chiese First Nation.

They say O’Chiese Fire had been deployed to the fire at 5:30 p.m.

Mounties confirm witnesses reported seeing a grey truck and a red or burgundy truck leaving the area shortly before the structure caught fire.

No persons were reported injured.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP are requesting community members in the O’Chiese area to review their doorbell camera’s, outdoor footage or dash cameras from the night of May 20, 2023 around 5:30 p.m. and to submit any footage clips they feel may be of some assistance.

The RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect or suspects.
