Ponoka’s Police Advisory Committee inviting community input on public safety and crime prevention
The Town of Ponoka Police Advisory Committee is looking for input from local citizens about public safety and crime prevention.
Town officials say the committee has launched a ‘Questionnaire for Community Input’ to give citizens the opportunity to voice their thoughts and ideas on how to keep Ponoka a safe and secure community. The ‘Questionnaire for Community Input’ can be found on the Town of Ponoka’s online engagement website at www.LetsTalkPonoka.ca.
To participate in the online ‘Questionnaire for Community Input’ and other Town projects on the Let’s Talk Ponoka website, citizens will be asked to register for the site by providing their email and postal code. Town officials say all personal information is kept confidential. By registering, users can also receive updates on Police Advisory Committee initiatives and other Town projects, and their input can help guide decision making by the Town.
“The Police Advisory Committee’s main role is to give our local citizens a voice on public safety and crime prevention. That is why we are inviting people to fill out this questionnaire and to come chat with committee members at the Town of Ponoka’s booth at the Ponoka Trade Show on Saturday, April 15,” said Sandra Lund, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Town of Ponoka. CAO Lund serves in a resource role on the committee.
