Town of Sylvan Lake – Polar Dip raises over $18,000 at Winterfest

Officials with the Town of Sylvan Lake have announced that polar dippers at this year’s Winterfest event last month raised a total of $18,365.69 for local non-profits.

According to Town officials, over 55 registered for the event with 47 jumping into the lake as part of the festivities, with 19 different groups set to receive funds.

The Polar Dip event is described as an annual staple of Winterfest activities, with jumpers raising money for local charities as part of the entry process. Winterfest took place over the Family Day long weekend, February 17-20, 2023.
