Three Hills RCMP investigating Delburne break and enter

Mar 1, 2023 | 10:09 AM

Central Alberta Mounties are hoping you can help them identify a suspect wanted in connection with a residential break-in last month.

On Feb. 15, 2023, Three Hills RCMP responded to a break and enter at a residence in Delburne.

Police say one male suspect entered the residence and stole a black purse that was on the kitchen table. RCMP say the purse contained the identification of the victim, along with a health care card and bank card. The victim was home at the time but asleep in another room.

Mounties say video surveillance obtained from the residence shows a male walking up to a basement door where he is seen knocking on the door. The video ends and it is believed he walks up to the patio door and walks into the residence.

Police say there was no damage at point of entry and the door may have been unlocked. They say the suspect appeared to be walking with something in his back-right pocket, possibly a hammer or another type of break in tool.

The suspect is described as having a light complexion, short beard and was last seen wearing a black ball cap, blue jeans, black long sleeve shirt and black shoes.
