The Edmonton Zone has 2,484 cases of influenza, 553 hospitalizations, 55 ICU admissions, and 22 flu-related deaths.

The North Zone currently has 1,553 cases of influenza, 250 hospitalizations, 25 ICU admissions, and 13 deaths.

The South Zone has 676 cases of influenza as of Jan. 28, with 204 hospitalizations, 21 ICU admissions, and 18 flu-related deaths.

• 1,245,691 doses of influenza vaccine have been administered in Alberta
  • 198,718 doses of influenza vaccine have been administered by AHS
  • 962,131 doses of influenza vaccine have been administered by pharmacies
  • 84,842 doses of influenza vaccine have been administered by other providers*
• 27.2% of Albertans have received an influenza vaccine
  • 63.4% of Albertans 65 years of age and older have received an influenza vaccine (426,379 doses administered)
• Previous Season:
  • This week, in the 2021-2022 season, a total of 1,183,193 doses were administered (Provincial coverage = 26.6%)
