Elsewhere throughout the province, the Calgary Zone has 2,922 cases of influenza with 749 hospitalizations, 83 ICU admissions and 30 deaths.

The Edmonton Zone has 2,461 cases of influenza, 546 hospitalizations, 54 ICU admissions, and 22 flu-related deaths.

The North Zone currently has 1,545 cases of influenza, 250 hospitalizations, 24 ICU admissions, and 13 deaths.

The South Zone has 671 cases of influenza as of Jan. 21, with 201 hospitalizations, 20 ICU admissions, and 18 flu-related deaths.

  • 195,871 doses of influenza vaccine have been administered by AHS
  • 958,993 doses of influenza vaccine have been administered by pharmacies
  • 83,753 doses of influenza vaccine have been administered by other providers*
• 27.1% of Albertans have received an influenza vaccine
  • 63.3% of Albertans 65 years of age and older have received an influenza vaccine (425,441 doses administered)
• Previous Season:
  • This week, in the 2021-2022 season, a total of 1,177,016 doses were administered (Provincial coverage = 26.5%)
