Temporary road closure planned for fireworks and CP Holiday Train in Ponoka

There will be a temporary road closure in Ponoka on Thursday, December 8 on 50 Street between 48 Avenue and 50 Avenue starting at 2:30 p.m.

Town officials say motorists are asked to please drive with caution and observe ‘No Parking’ signs and barricades.

The road closure will remain in place throughout the Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train’s visit to Ponoka, as well as the holiday fireworks display that will follow. The fireworks are jointly sponsored by the Town of Ponoka and Ponoka County.
