5.8 magnitude earthquake in Northern Alberta felt by hundreds

Earthquakes Canada is reporting a series of seismic activities near a community in Northern Alberta.

A total of six tremors occurred near Reno between 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, and 5:46 a.m. on November 30.

Magnitudes of 4.0 were recorded for four of the quakes , one was 5.0, another was 5.2, and the strongest was registered at 5.8.

The 5.8 magnitude earthquake happened just before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and the epicentre was located 26 kilometres northeast of Reno and 172 km northeast of Grande Prairie.
