Charity Checkstop happening this Saturday in Red Deer
The Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre is hosting its 61st annual Charity Checkstop this Saturday, Oct. 1.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Taylor Drive, just north of 32 Street.
According to organizers, the Charity Checkstop is an annual fundraising event for the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre and assists with the collection of winter clothing items for the Coats 4 Kids campaign.
Drivers are encouraged to pull into the dedicated charity checkstop lanes on Taylor Drive to donate gently used winter clothing and items for kids or adults, or make cash donations for crime prevention.
